Are You Taking A Road Trip With A Large Group Of Friends?

Have you decided to take a road trip with some of your closest friends? Perhaps you are just going overnight to see the Christmas displays in a nearby town. Or, you might even be considering an extended vacation, maybe to somewhere like New York City where you can see the Big Apple all lit up for the holidays. Now matter where you're headed with your friends, from renting a van to selecting your accommodations before you leave, here are some ideas that might help you.

Rent A Van - Because your group is large, there may not be anybody in the group who has a large enough vehicle to fit all of you. Of course, you could take several cars and then meet at your designated location, but then what's the fun of the road trip? And, you could travel by bus, but then what would you do for transportation once you get to your destination? A car rental service provides options.

Renting a large van is more than likely a lot more affordable than you thought it would be, especially when you divide the cost of the rental by however many people are in your group. Renting a van also means that you'll probably get a late model vehicle that has all the bells and whistles on it, including a GPS, which will be very helpful along the way and once you have reached the places you want to visit.

Make Reservations - If you're focused on seeing things in a big city, consider staying in a downtown hotel that is close to historical sites and other local attractions. Consider reserving suites that will offer more sleeping space. If you each want your own privacy, on the other hand, you'll want to reserve your own rooms.

The concierge at the hotel will more than likely be happy to direct you to restaurants and other places of interest. If you are wanting to see the sights in small towns, consider looking for a Bed and Breakfast facility. If you've never had that experience, you're probably in for a delightful experience. Or, look for an old farmhouse or a barn that has been turned into an apartment where you prepare your own meals. No matter where you stay, you'll probably be very happy that you rented an extended van. By doing so, you'll all be together and you will not run the risk of getting separated along the way.
